The CL-S700III is one of Citizen's key industrial label printers for manufacturing, warehousing and logistics applications.
It combines 203 dpi direct thermal and thermal-transfer printing with speeds of up to 300 mm/sec, support for media rolls up to 200 mm in diameter and ribbons up to 450 metres.
A colour LCD touchscreen, setup wizard and print previews make the printer easier for operators to configure and use, while Citizen Cross-Emulation can automatically switch between Zebra ZPL and Datamax emulations.

Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer?
Direct Thermal
Direct thermal printers create the image directly on heat-sensitive media and do not require a ribbon.
They are commonly used for shipping, receipt and other labels where long-term resistance to heat, light or abrasion is not the main requirement.
Thermal Transfer
Thermal-transfer printers use a ribbon to transfer the printed image onto compatible label material.
This provides more options where labels need greater durability or where synthetic label materials are required.
