Zebra ZD621d vs ZD621t

The ZD621 range is available with two main printing technologies.

Zebra ZD621d – Direct Thermal

The ZD621d prints directly onto heat-sensitive thermal labels without requiring a ribbon. This makes it particularly suitable for applications such as shipping labels, receipts and other labels with a relatively short required lifespan.

Zebra ZD621t – Thermal Transfer

Zebra ZD621R – RFID Label Printing

The Zebra ZD621R combines the performance of the ZD621 desktop printer with integrated UHF RFID printing and encoding. Designed for businesses that need to produce RFID-enabled labels and tags, it provides a compact solution for applications such as asset tracking, inventory management, retail labelling and supply chain operations.

The ZD621R supports both RFID encoding and barcode label printing, allowing businesses to create labels containing printed information alongside encoded RFID data. Its compact desktop format makes it particularly suitable for lower-volume RFID applications where a larger industrial RFID printer is not required.
