Epson ColorWorks for breweries, distilleries & drinks producers
New batch. New flavour.
Your labels.
A seasonal beer, a small-batch gin, a new cider blend
or a limited run of soft drinks can all need their
own labels. Keeping pre-printed stock for every
variation can soon become complicated.
Epson ColorWorks colour label printing
lets you produce short runs in-house, combining
branding, product information and variable details
on compatible adhesive label media.
Bottles, cans & gift packs
Small batches & seasonal releases
Customer-specific designs
Give each release its own identity
Your core range may stay consistent while seasonal
products, special editions and gift packs change.
Print labels to match those variations using reusable
artwork and templates.
Bottle labels
From full-size bottles to miniatures
Create front, back or wraparound adhesive labels
for spirits, beer, cider and soft drinks.
Match the dimensions and adhesive to the container
and the selected printer.
Can labels
Flexible designs for smaller runs
Print adhesive labels for craft beers, canned
cocktails and other drinks. Check the container
surface, label dimensions and application method
before choosing a setup.
Gift & outer packaging
Keep the whole range consistent
Label tasting sets, presentation boxes, mixed
selections and outer cases with branding and
information appropriate to each pack.

juices and other small-batch drinks.
Cocktail & ready-to-drink brands

tasting ranges, tailored to each packaging format.

personalised collections without holding every
printed design in stock.
Print to match the batch
On-demand printing gives you more control over
labels for products with changing artwork or
unpredictable volumes.
- Produce smaller quantities for limited releases
- Update approved artwork between production runs
- Reuse templates across flavours and pack sizes
- Include variable details through suitable label software
- Reduce unused stocks of pre-printed designs
Useful beyond the main bottle label
Your core range may already use a specialist
printed finish. In-house colour printing can
still have a role elsewhere.
- Miniature and sample bottle labels
- Back labels and product information
- Gift-box and tasting-set labels
- Customer-specific editions
- Artwork samples for review on the actual container
Test labels where your drinks will be used
Refrigeration, condensation, handling and spills
can all affect a label. The material, print coating
and adhesive need to suit the container and its
expected environment.
Test samples on the actual bottle or can. Tell us
whether labels are applied before chilling or to
containers that are already cold, and whether they
may encounter water or alcohol spills.
Ice buckets, wet production processes and significant
temperature changes need particular consideration.
Durability should be assessed for the complete
printer, ink and media combination.
Choose a setup that fits your packaging process
Tek Direkt can help you assess Epson ColorWorks options
against your label dimensions, print quantities and
application requirements.
01 — Format
Label size & layout
Share the width, height and shape of each label.
Include front and back labels, miniature formats
and any wraparound designs.
02 — Volume
Batch sizes & designs
Tell us your typical quantities, how many designs
you use and the larger production runs you need
to accommodate.
03 — Application
Hand-applied or automated?
Explain how labels are applied. Applicator
requirements can affect roll dimensions, winding
direction, label gaps and the overall workflow.
Match the finish to your brand
Matt and gloss finishes create different effects.
Paper and synthetic materials also have different
characteristics, so appearance and practical
performance should be assessed together.
If your artwork uses foil, embossing, metallic
effects, textured materials or white ink, flag
those requirements at the start. These need separate
consideration and should not be assumed to come
from a standard colour-label setup.
Your label printing questions answered
Does the printer print directly onto bottles or cans?
This application uses adhesive labels printed on
compatible media, which are then applied to the
container. It is not direct-to-container printing.
Can I print labels for miniature spirits bottles?
This depends on the dimensions and the selected
printer and media. Small bottles also need careful
layout and adhesion checks because of their curved
surfaces and limited label area.
Can I print full wraparound labels?
This depends on the required dimensions, printer
and compatible media. Send your artwork size and
container details so the format can be checked.
Will labels withstand condensation or alcohol spills?
Performance depends on the media, adhesive, surface
and exposure. Sample-test labels through the expected
application, storage and handling process, including
likely contact with the product.
Can I include batch details and barcodes?
Suitable label software can combine fixed artwork
with variable information. Check barcode size,
contrast and scanning performance after the label
has been applied to the container.
Can printed rolls work with my existing applicator?
Compatibility needs to be checked against requirements
such as core size, roll diameter, winding direction
and label gaps. Include your applicator model when
contacting us.
Which Epson ColorWorks printer is right for me?
The choice depends on label dimensions, batch sizes,
finish and workflow. Send a sample design and your
expected volumes so we can help assess the options.
Send us your label and your batch size
Email a current design or photo, the label dimensions
and your approximate quantities. Include the container
type, storage conditions and how labels are applied.
We'll help you assess a suitable printer and media
combination for your drinks range.
